A major role of the National Library and Documentation Services Board is to identify the training needs of the different categories of libraries, organize and conduct In-service training programmes, seminars, workshops, lectures etc.
National Library and Documentation Services Board provides following services for the development of conservation activities in libraries.
The National Library strives to serve researchers, intellectuals, academics as well as the general public in every corner of Sri Lanka through inter-library loan service.
Anyone who wishes to extend his/ her cooperation and provide with valuable ideas, suggestions and expertise for upgrading the National Library, may join the “Friends of the National Library” which is a voluntary organization.
