ACQUISITION OF THESES/ DISSERTATIONS

The National Library and Documentation Centre (NLDC), the focal point of the library system in Sri Lanka, has launched a project to acquire PhD/ M. Phil/ MA (2 years research)/ Master of Library Science (MLS) Theses/ Dissertation, from scholars and researchers.

Criteria for the acquisition of theses/ dissertations are as follows

• The theses/ dissertation should have been submitted to obtain Ph. D or M. Phil or MA or MLS from a recognized university in Sri Lanka or abroad.
• The author of the these/dissertation should be a Sri Lankan or the subject should be on or relevant to Sri Lanka.
• The NLDC will pay Rs. 7500.00 (for Ph. D) theses and Rs. 5000.00 (for M. Phil, MA, MLS) theses as a fee for making an extra copy of the work.
• Only theses submitted after 1980 are accepted.
